Introducing the SMB Partnership Program
"Help on The Ground"

To enhance our ability to deliver services to seniors and elders across California, Senior Medi-Benefits is now offering an innovative partnership program to professionals who work in related fields, and to individuals who have learned some part of this field based on their own personal experiences.

The partnership program consists of alliances on two levels:

First Level

Becoming a Local Area SMB Representative is the first step in becoming a Case Manager for SMB.

The representative works at the ‘face to face’ level with families of seniors and elders, as they navigate the health and long term care funding process. The representative must learn a few core principles of state and federal health benefits programs, then work in tandem with a SMB client fulfillment specialist during a client relationship.

As a representative, you can offer SMB programs through your own local area professional network. SMB client fulfillment managers actually create the plans that meet the individualized needs of the seniors and elders.

Second Level

After becoming a Local Representative for SMB, progress to level two by training as a SMB Case Manager. Training as a case manager for seniors using SMB program models means learning the SMB models in depth, and getting experience meeting the needs of real families.

As a case manager, you can deliver SMB programs through your own professional network, by leveraging your own professional skills in your community with support from our central offices.

To spread the success of SMB programs, the partnership program is open to potential representatives from all California counties.
