
The work we do is very client-specific and individualized to the situation. So, for the local rep to meet ‘knowledge base’ benchmarks SMB requires certain steps along the way. Becoming a case manager/counselor for SMB is a 90-day trial period, overseen by the SMB Client Fulfillment staff.
Step 1: Email partnership-program@seniormedi-benefits.org. Please state your level of interest, your current professional field, and where you live and work in California.
Step 2: Contact with SMB representative, email and telephone
Step 3: The Rep completes Training Module 1 – background and core information
Step 4: Trial period and initial case – work alongside SMB client fulfillment manager to meet the individualized needs of a client and client family; this step finishes at the successful conclusion of the first client relationship
GOAL: Achieve Local Area Representative status—Act in tandem with SMB client fulfillment specialist to deliver a program to a client and client family. Act as a liaison locally with families and other professionals. SMB remunerates local area representatives on a fee-for-service basis.
Step 1: The Case Manager trainee completes Training Module 2 – SMB programs
Step 2: Client Relations training, working side-by-side with an SMB client fulfillment manager on existing consultations and cases
Step 3: Sales Side experience – Learn the process to engage clients for SMB, Identify Needy Individuals and families, Meet Potential clients, Act as designated SMB agent
Step 4: Co-manage multiple cases over a 90-day period, Act as primary client side relationship manager, Help deliver the program to seniors, elders, and families
GOAL: Achieve Case Manager status— Act with support of SMB corporate offices to meet potential clients and engage client representation, along with client fulfillment responsibilities. SMB remunerates Case Managers on a fee-for-service and commission-based basis.
To spread the success of SMB programs, the partnership program is open to potential representatives from all California counties.
